Short Film "Why the Turtle's Shell is Cracked"

Short-film “Why the Turtle’s Shell is Cracked” is a story for children, based on Brazilian fairy-tale, which tells why the turtle’s shell is cracked. Film was directed by Malkhaz Kukhianidze, main animation by Khatuna Tatuashvili. The film is from collection “Fairy-tales from the world nations” produced by Mifasi Film.

Last year Children Jury awarded this film as “The Best Film for Children” at International Festival of Animated Films “Tofuzi 2010” (Batumi, Georgia).

The film was nominated at 50th International Festival for Youth and Children "Zlin 2010" ( Zlin, Czech Republic).

Our group members are not only experienced professionals but also we are happy to work with potential professionals who are learning, creating and growing in our studio. Here are characters created by Nino - 3rd grade student in Animation Faculty at Tbilisi State Art Academy.

On-going project - film "TARTI"

At present our group is working on full-length animated film “Tarti” (dir. Malkhaz Kukhianidze) for children. Film is based on true story about Caucasian Shepherd Dog and his adventures in saving sheep flock. The entire story is told by main characters animals – dog, sheep, wolves.

At the moment we are at pre-production stage.
